I went from getting my emails with no engagement to a quick response by following this simple trick I learned in the "written communication for leadership" course.

People in leadership roles consumes requests/updates via emails and that too on smartphones. A long email is guaranteed to be opened, scrolled, marked unread, and never reopened.

When sending emails to leadership, keep the email length between one or two (at max) scrolls of the smartphone screen size. Have a clear ask in the subject and close with the action, if needed.
